LAUNCH VIDEO
The Problem
A client with a complex cryptocurrency app needed a launch video. The video’s two-part goal was to explain the product and drive awareness.
The Process
The discovery phase included a detailed review of all existing company collateral, a lengthy meeting with the client (the company owner) to discuss creative direction, scope, and deadlines, and a separate meeting with the video team to understand capabilities.
The Script:
I outlined a narrative using the client’s voice, and carefully positioned messaging from existing collateral. Each draft was immediately sent to the videographer and the client for their notes.
Complete approval was landed on the third draft, after minimal revisions. This was the first of a series.
I have written well over a hundred video scripts over the course of my career, and rely on a meticulous discovery phase to capture as many details as possible.
Budget, visual capabilities, length of video, and target audience identification are all driving components that factor into successful execution.
I enjoy script writing as it requires a blend of heavy collaboration and individual creative output.
The Video:
The vision I scripted translated well to the screen, providing a compelling product narrative. In addition to winning repeat business and pleasing the client and his entire team, the video is currently being positioned as a vital element of the client’s product launch.
